
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco (American professional soccer player) plays as an attacking player. She is also captain of San Diego Wave FC of National Women's Soccer League, the highest division in women's professional soccer. From 2018 to 2020, she was a co-captain of the American women's national soccer team with Megan Rapinoe. [8][99 Morgan was chosen by the Western New York Flash at the top of the list in the 2011 WPS Draft. She had graduated from Berkeley early. Morgan also played for California Golden Bears. Morgan made her debut as a professional at the club , and also helped the team win its league championship. Morgan 22, then 22 years young, was the youngest national player at the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011, where she was second. At the 2012 London Olympics she scored the match-winning goal in the 123rd minute of the semi-final match against Canada. She ended 2012 with 21 goals and 28 assists, and Mia Hamm was the only American woman to score 20 and 20 goals. This made her the 6th-youngest U.S. player ever to reach 20 goals in one season. After being named U.S. Soccer Female Player of the year, Morgan was also selected as a FIFA World Player of the Award finalist. Morgan played a role in helping the United States win the title at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups. She was also named to the Dream Team. In 2019, Morgan won the Silver Boot.
