Kristen Anne Bell (born 1980) is a popular American actor and singer. The parents of Kristen Bell include Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier and both are television news directors. She was raised and from Huntington Woods Michigan. She is the daughter of a Polish and her father is German, English Irish and Scottish. Kristen found her talent in entertainment from a young age. In 1992, she was awarded her first role at the auditions for Raggedy Ann & Andy. Bell had an agent appointed by her mother at the age of 13 and was subsequently cast as a model on advertisements on television and newspapers. She also started taking acting lessons in private at the age of 13. Bell played a small part, uncredited on the film Polish Wedding (1998), in 1998. Bell was a part of the drama and musical club of Shrine Catholic High School. The Wizard of Oz was staged by her high school, and she was awarded the role of Dorothy. Bell was a student at the Tisch School of the Arts which she attended to study Musical Theater at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York City. Bell was a graduate in 2001, left her college studies in order to take on the role Becky as Becky in Tom Sawyer. Bell made her debut film credit with Pootie Tang in 2001. However, her scene, was trimmed and now her only appearance is in the final credits. Bell was in the film with Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson as well as in The Crucible Broadway show The Crucible in 2002.
