Shailene Woodley is an American actress and activist. She became popular with her character Alexandra "Alex" King, the teen who is struggling with addiction issues on The Descendants. Following her awe-inspiring role on The Descendants, she came up with several other performances which showed her capability to play difficult roles with ease. Shailene managed to get a place of prominence in the world of film early in her career. This is itself an accomplishment. She began her career in commercials and television before moving on to Hollywood films. Many awards have been won by her due to her exceptional acting.
