Anamaria Marina is a Romanian actor. Her debut was on the large screen with Sex Traffic by Channel 4, for which the British Academy Television Award was presented to her for Best Actress. Fluently speaks French, German and English. Her mother was a violinist The father of her is a theater professor in one of the best Romanian acting schools. Awarded an award for the Best Female Actor Award in 2000 for the Mangalia Gala for Young Actors. In 2008, she was honoured as a European Shooting Star' by the European Film Promotion Board. Apart from her stellar performance in her debut movie, the actress will remember her part of the Romanian movie "4 months 3 weeks and 2 days" that won her numerous accolades, among them the European Film Award of Best Actress from the London Film Critics. Her role as a character in Cristian Mungiu's Romanian art film, 4 luni 3 semaines si 2 zile (4 3 weeks, 4 months and 2 days) was awarded three weeks and a day. Palme d'Or Award at the Cannes Film Festival 2007 and two additional awards: the Cinema Prize for the French National Education System as well as the FIPRESCI Prize. Youth Without Youth, a Francis Ford Coppola movie, was also part of her work. She appeared in 2008 as Yasim of Angwar in the BBC Five-episode Miniseries The Last Enemy. Marinca has appeared in the Romanian drama Boogie as well as Oliver Hirschbiegels Five Minutes of Heaven. She later was the role of Irma's German aunt in Fury, which was released in the year 2014.
