Awkwafina

Awkwafina started out as an American rapper and singer, making sly songs that addressed issues such as racial and sexuality with a humorous twist. Before expanding to Hollywood, she had the opportunity to release a number of songs. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants was her first music experience. She was a trumpet player. She also received classical and jazz training later becoming a hip-hop teenager. When she was in high the school, she focused on women's studies and journalism. She was also a student of Mandarin briefly in Beijing. Not until after graduation did she start focusing on music. In 2012 her track My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success on the Internet before settling on her debut album Yellow Ranger in 2014. The album also contained also were viral songs like Queef (body-positive) and NYC Bitche$1. The track that was the last one to be linked directly to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide, which was which was published in 2015. In addition to having published a book as well, she also worked as a singer. Apart from early series such as Girl Code and Tawk she was also in films such as Neighbors 2, Storks as well as Bad Rap. In 2018, her breakthrough performances included Dude Ocean's 8, along with Crazy Rich Asians. The EP came out in June.
